We would like to inform you that the temporary acceptance regarding the weight limitation of 20’ft Containers on biaxial chassis granted by Japanese authorities for truck transports will expire from 31st March 2008. In the past it was allowed to accept a Gross Weight (GW) up to 24,000kgs for 20’ft Containers on biaxial chassis.
From 1st April 2008 the GW for those transports will be limited to 20,320kgs.
In reference to the Japanese road regulations and in order to maintain our overall service quality, we are allowed to offer the usage of triaxial chassis for a GW lower than 24,000kgs and exceeding 20,320kgs availability provided.
The upcoming increasing demand for those chassis can cause inevitable delays regarding oncarriages. The weight limitations for truck transports of 40’ft Containers remain unchanged at a GW of 30,480kgs.
