Fracht Italia – COVID 19 – 10/03/2020

Dear Colleagues,

Yesterday, Monday 9th in the evening, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, due to the increase of the affected people, extended the emergency measures nationwide. This means that there are not some red areas, and all the Italian territory is under restricted regulations.

Mr. Conte described the measures as "I stay home" - with people forbidden to gather in public. "No more nightlife; we can't allow this anymore since they are occasions for contagion," he said.

All sporting events - including football matches - are suspended nationwide. Schools and universities will remain closed until 3 April.

People are allowed only to go to work, and to go grocery shopping (what is strictly necessary).

For the moment, business wise we do not see big issues, of course we expect some delays in the transportation, checks along the roads, custom clearance, transport permits release, and manufacturer premises, since this is a new scenario for all of us.

Regarding Fracht Italia, we are 100% operative, both in Lainate, Genoa and Verona.

As a contingency plan, we have set up the home office for the majority of the colleagues, to grant the service in case the situations would get worse.

As you surely understand, the situation is always in progress, therefore in case of significant news we will inform you in due time.

In case of any issues in Italy, please feel free to contact directly myself, Mr. Fermi, Mr. Mappa or Mr. Repetto. You can contact us 24/7.

Best regards

Stefano Balli
