China Tariffs 25% Effective July 6, 2018
« back

Hello Everyone,

The Trump administration announced June 15, 2018 a list of 818 products from China that will be subject to an additional 25 percent duty as of July 6.

These tariffs are being imposed after a Section 301 investigation determined that China’s acts, policies, and practices related to technology transfer, intellectual property, and innovation are unreasonable and discriminatory.

Please see the attached informational bulletin from Sandler, Travis and Rosenberg.  It contains some additional information and links to the list of 818 products that will be subject to the tariff effective July 6th and a second list of additional products that are under consideration pending the results of a public notice and comment process.

Please review when you have a chance.  You may have customers asking if their products will be subject to the additional duties.

This is all we know right now.  We will get back to you with more information as we receive it.
