Port and Trade Update

Herewith Ocean Port and Trade Summary for Week 10 2021.

SA Port Update

  • Conditions remain largely unchanged in our SA ports.  Weather conditions, equipment challenges, high traffic, man power restrictions due to COVID continue to impact port and terminal performance and turnaround times.
  • All trades continue to experience equipment imbalances
  • Vessel schedules, on all trades, remain erratic with delayed arrivals, port omissions and mid voyage service changes
  • Vessel capacity and space allocation remain constrained
  • Vessel schedule integrity and export stack dates remain volatile at present, due to vessels being delayed on inbound voyages as well as along SA coastline.

Kind Regards
